Six months ago I started a chat with all my friends about a trip to California state. Little did I know that I would get 30 people to come and have the most amazing time I have ever dreamed of. The goal was to start the movement of KAFSKATES is about killing that internal fear and trying new things! We surely did make movie magic happen! We first made our stop at the Fountain Valley Skating Center. It Was a truly magical experience seeing all the Cali style and skate set-ups were so cool. We also brought our Miami flavor and skated with some of the best in the skate scene. Smooth floors were this skating rink's middle name! I loved seeing all of the skaters mixing and mingling. The next day we woke up early packed our day bag and headed to the ESTRODEN in Paso Robles California. 13 park skaters from Florida shredded the street and ramp course Michelle Steilen and Miguel Camina built on their beautiful property. They were so kind and opened up their home to us. we stayed the night and had the best campfire and skate family dinner playing roleplay games and having intimate conversations with legends in the roller skate and blade game. Truly a magical day spending time at the ESTRODEN. The next day was free for all the skaters mostly then we gathered for a family dinner in downtown Venice. It was a night full of laughter and bonding that can’t be replaced. Saturday was pure magic at the Venice beach skate plaza we had people shredding the bowls and the dance floor. We also collaborated with @tutifruti.sk8 and had some fellow skateboarders from Venice join us! After that, we explored the Santa Monica pier and had some dinner and drinks in downtown Santa Monica. That Saturday was truly magical and the best way to spend our last night in Cali skating with OG’s like Dee Upshaw Buck Wild Rich. we also skates with the lovely Kels my Aries sister. She skates so free and is charming all at the same time. I truly am thankful for the skate community. I also want to thank Tika @rollerskatevibes because without her these things would have not been documented or possible. Teamwork makes the dream work. It was also surreal to stop by pigeon's skate shop and see people bringing their kids to buy their first pair of roller-skates. I can’t wait to do this all over again next year! So if you missed out you will have a chance again next year. Thank you to all the skaters who came out would have not been possible without you. Thank you skaters catch all the video collage I made below ☮️❤️
