Skating is Healing

This weekend has had me truly grateful for skating so many good things going on in my life right now. However emotionally I’m suffering for personal reasons. Nothing feels more healing than putting on a pair of skates and skating away all that pent-up emotion your body is begging you to release. Scientifically skating releases so many endorphins you feel high and take care of yourself. On Friday evening I skated with people from all over the world. It felt great! I went alone saw some people I know. We skated 18 miles all over Miami and it was truly a great experience. I fell and cracked my phone and was not even mad because of how happy I was. I also met this awesome couple that skate quads from Chicago and they travel all the time and have been skating since before I was born. It was magical to experience that. They always come to skater migration every year and that was inspiring and reassuring that my love for skating can never die. On Saturday night we had a blast at the roller boogie hosted by all skates go to heaven. It was located in jungle plaza located in the design district. All the in-liners and quad skaters were having a blast and you can feel the joy in the air. To my point, if you are ever feeling down just put on your skates and skate. It can be alone. It can be with Blades, it can be with roller skates, a dang skateboard for all I know just skate. If you reading this and skating is not your thing I get it but I hope you find your physical passion because it is needed to keep your brain at ease. I woke up today grateful for life and realizing that everything is a process and if you work hard at it. Your dreams will come true. So continue to hit those goals skaters. Get those tricks, make that money, even if it kills you. At least you died doing what you love. Feed your faith and let your fears starve to death.
